Embroidery
Our embroidered fabrics have designs literally stitched into them. From abstract geometrics like Markham to botanicals like Nature, embroidery is time-honored technique with deep roots throughout history.
Embroidery is a way of marking a textile as ones own. As recently as the 1950s, young women would spend the evenings of their teenage years embroidering a trousseau for their eventual married life. A family’s ability afford to have their daughter embroider fabric at leisure, rather than working in the fields, was a marker of wealth.
